You may remember - or not - that my grandfather Shirley Green Triplett, and friends were building a "fort" in an empty lot not far from Grandpa's home.
Cole Younger had been paroled and was with the prison physician. As they walked through Little Falls Minnesota, Cole Younger noticed the fort.
Grandpa remembers Cole Younger saying "That reminds me of the days when I was camping out on the plains." Cole Younger died in 1916, at his home in Lee's Summit Missouri. He was buried in Lee's Summit Historical Cemetery.
