Emmert Family - AnnaBelle Emmert - Desk and Chair

This desk at one time belonged to AnnaBelle "Belle" Emmert Walkinshaw. I do not know where it came from.

It came to me as a gift from my mother, Lorna Lee Triplett Winch who received it from Margaret Helen Walkinshaw Keiser.

I can picture Belle sitting at her desk and paying bills or keeping up with her correspondence with relatives across the country.

The picture over the desk is a pastoral work by a 1880s - 1920s artist. I took it down to  the "Antique Roadshow" the second time it was held at Salt Lake City.

The appraiser said it was worth $300 - $500.

It is one of my favorite pictures.
