Triplett Family - Lorna Lee Triplett - page 4 - Reception Pictures

This is my parents cutting the wedding cake at the wedding reception. I do not know who the other two persons are in the photograph.

The receiving line after the wedding shows some of the guests. Left to right are:
Hildegarde Olga Teuber Triplett [she has the corsage on her jacket]; John Stewart [best man and my Dad's best friend]; Lola Winch Page [My Dad's youngest sister - you can barely see her]; [I don't know who the lady is in the white coat]; my Dad Myron [you can barely see his face over Uncle Fred's shoulder];Fred Page is the one talking with my mother; and last, My mom Lorna.

This third picture shows my parents, with their nephew Donny Olson. He is my Dad's oldest sister's son. [He currently lives in Arkansas.]

This picture shows my Grandma Hildegarde with her back turned to us. She is talking with my Grandfather Tripp, to my Mother's Mother's sisters and mother. The lady on the far left of the picture is my Aunt Ione Gertrude Leonard Martin - also known as Aunt Billie.

The lady in the middle of the picture is my father's mother, Emily Victoria Jarl Winch. She is standing next to Frederick E. Page, soon to be my Uncle Fred.

This picture shows my grandparents, Hildegarde Olga Teuber Triplett and Shirley Greene Triplett. To the right of them is Grandma Hildegarde's brother-in-law, Harry Andrews. To the right of Harry, is Winniefred Olive Leonard, also known as Aunt Fred. To the far right is Grandma Emily and Uncle Fred.

This is a picture of my parents, Myron and Lorna. If you look to the right of them is my Great aunt Billie, Great Grandmother Winnie Gladys Carpenter Leonard, and my Great Aunt Fred. [I would think that these 3 ladies feel like they are represented my Grandmother [my mother's mother] Lenoir Inez Leonard Triplett. She was known by everyone as "Bobbie". She had passed away on 31 December 1949.

Triplett Family - Lorna Lee Triplett - Wedding Pictures - page 1

This is the book of pictures that have all of the wedding pictures from Lorna and Myron Winch's wedding. The wedding took place in Fresno California. The date was 16 December 1950. That was also Lorna's Dad's birthday. My father use to tell me that his present to Grandpa was that he married his daughter!

I am not sure why this picture was first in the above book as it is a picture of them walking down the aisle after they were married.

The wedding picture to the left is of my mother, Lorna Lee Triplett Winch. She is wearing a colored dress [color unknown] because this was her second marriage. The hat shows up better than it does her but it is a "Juliet Cap" with pearl along the edges.

My mother was born at home at 119 N. N Street, Madera, Madera County, California on 5 March 1927. Her parents were Shirley Greene Triplett and Lenoir (Bobbie) Inez Leonard Triplett.
She was named after a friend of her aunt, Winnifred Gladys Leonard (Aunt Fred).

I believe that her mother's mother (Winnie Gladys Carpenter Leonard), was present as was Aunt Fred. My mother always said that she was supposed to be a boy, as she was the first grandchild of Winnie and Frederick Leonard.

Left - Mom maybe not quite newborn, as I believe this was taken at her grandparents house in Burbank California.

This picture is of my grandmother Lenoir "Bobbie" Leonard Triplett, holding my mother in Yosemite National Park, at the Tunnel Tree. It was possibly taken during the summer of 1927.

This is a picture of my mother being held by her grandmother [mom's mother's mother] possibly in Madera California. This might have been taken in the summer of 1927.
