Ferguson Family - Nancy Ferguson William Triplett Marriage Bond

 This is the marriage bond of William Triplett and Nancy Ferguson from 1785 in Wilkes county North Carolina. I found this on 5 June 2021, at FamilySearch.org. This record reads:

Know all men by those present that we William Triplett and John webb both of wilkes County are held and from by Bond unto Alexander Martin Esq.  Govenor in the Just sum of five hundred pounds Current money of North Carrolina to which [?] well and Truly to Be made we Bind our Selves our heirs Esq[?] Adm[?] Jointly Severall and firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals and dated this17th of February 1785.

The Condition of the above Obligation is Such that whereas William Triplett hath made Application for a Licence for a marriage to Be had Solomnised Between him the said Triplett and Nancy Ferguson Now in Case hereafter thereis no Law full Cause to Abstruct the said Marriage then the Above Obligation to Be[?] Else to remain in force and [Virtue]
