to the rest home. Didn't get to see her or Harvey. Looking thru the book case I found a copy of Seven American Classics and it has your name in it so will send it to you. It will soon be an antique. Maybe you remember St Anthony falls under the bridge by the depot in Mpls. As I remember it,    it was a roaring falls that dropped straight down for quite a ways. To day it just slopes away and looks nothing like it used to .

died the next day Aug 8. Uncle Henry didn't feel well enough to go so stayed home. Edgar has a speed boat in Minnetonka inboard job - and we took a ride around the lake. If you haven't had a fast ride - 2800 RPM on a fairly smooth lake you aint missed nuthin. You can get the same jolting on a hi frequency pile driver. It was beautiful weather - saw a lot of lakes & Minnehaha falls and has quite a water fall yet. Aunt Vest is quite feeble and has high blood pressure which doesn't help any. Dear Shirley & Family

At the present I am in the mood to write so here it is.
   Came back from Minn in June. Met all the folks back there and they are all busy.
   Freeman is still in grocery biz in Litchfield. Carl same in Maple Plain. Ray & Edgar are in excavation - road work foundations and in winter snow plowing on county roads. Lewis is running the farm and doing all right at it. Uncle Henry and Aunt Mattie were there and looked well but Aunt Mattie went to Barry for a trip and [continued]
