Dear Sir,
Inclosed
are the papers of the Widow Jones - from a particular examination of her case. I think her entitled - I went out to her neighborhood and she might have multiplied [traditionary] evidence - the old [inhabitants] all agreed as to the reputation of Major Jones service but could give no more certain proof that this furnished - [Widow] Jones is a very [repectable] old lady.Most respectfuly
