Apparently My Grandfather wrote to Sacramento County to check on Little Shirley. This is their response:

We are in receipt of your letter of January 10, 1978, concerning your daughter.

I have been Shirley's Guardianship Officer since Mrs. Gallineau's retirement in 1974. Shirley still resides at the Grueich Board and Care Home at R. 3, Box 950, Galt, California95632. The street address is 10898 Boessaw Road, and the telephone number is area code 209-745-2651. As far as we know Shirley is in good health. Shirley's income still consists of Social Security benefits and the state supplemental payment. She also receives Medicare and is entitled to benefits under the state Medi-cal program.
