Pike COUNTY}SS In the Pike County Court. In Probate, March Terms, A.D. 1873. On This the twenty second day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy three
PRESENT, The Hon A.M. Atkinson, Judge.

IN THE MATTER OF THE ESTATE OF}
Jerusha Greene Deceased.} This day comes B.D. Brown and makes due proof to the satisfaction of the Court of the death of the said Jerusha Greene late of said County of which proof is ordered by the Court to be entered of record. Thereupon comes Joseph Greene and surrenders to the Court an instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of the said Jerusha
Greene deceased, which is ordered by the Court to be filed. Subsequently, B.D. Brown and proof of handwriting of John McTucker subscribing witnesses to the aforesaid instrument of writing, and being first duly sworn, testify to the due execution and proof of handwriting of John McTucker subscribing witnesses to the aforesaid instrument of writing, and being first duly sworn, testify to the due execution of said instrument by the ---- and Jerusha Greene deceased, and their attestation thereof according to law, on the day of the date thereof, as and for the last will and testament of the said Jerusha Green deceased, and that at the tune if the execution of said instrument, said witnesses believed said testator to be of sound mind and memory and under no constraint, which testimony is ordered by the Court to be entered of record in full. And also come Joseph Greene named as executor is said will, and take and subscribe the oath required by the Statute in such case made and provided, which oath is ordered by the Court to be entered of record. And the Court being fully advised in the promises, it is ordered that the said instrument be and same is hereby declared to be duly and sufficiently proven and authenticated as the true last will and testament of the said Jerusha Greene deceased. And it is further ordered by the Court that the said will be entered of record.

Brown being duly sworn deposeth and saith That Jerusha Greene late of the Town of Barry in the County of Pike and State aforesaid, departed this life at Barry in said County on or about the fifth of day November A.S.1872p, and that she died leaving a last will and testament to the best of her knowledge and belief. William A. Grinshaw and George H. Jones being each severally sworn on their oaths do say that there were each personally well acquainted with John McFlicker in his live, that, they are informed and believe that he is dead, that they have examined a signature of said John McTucker affixed to a will exhibited for Probate in said Court of Jerusha Greene. and state that they have been and are well acquainted the the hand writing & signature of John McGucker and have often seen writing which he recognized and acknowledged to be his, and have seen him write, and Now each and both of you state, that from our knowledge of the handwriting of said John McTucker [?] believe the signature affixed to said will of Jerusha Greene has a sub[?] Witness by John McTucker (with B.D. Brown] is the proper signature and hand writing of said John McTucker,

TESTAMENT OF Jerusha Green DECEASED.
Know all men by these presents that I Jerusha Green of the Town of Barry in the County of Pike and State of Illinois and being over eighty two years of age, but of a sound and disposing mind and good bodily health do make and publish this My last Will and Testament Hereby revoking all former wills by me heretofore made.
1st I hereby constitute and apoint my son Joseph Green the sole Executor of this my lasts will and testament to pay all of my just debts and funeral expenses and the legices herein after given.
2nd After the payments of my debts and funeral expences I give and bequeath all of my estate to my six children they to share and share alik to Sarah R. Hull one share The live children of David Green deceased Mary C. and David R., one share Jerusha Bartlett one share, Louisa Alkine one share, Joseph Green My executor one share to the two Minor heirs of Pulaski Green, Franklin and Ida one share and there share to be retained in the hands of my executor until Franklin arives at the age of twenty one and Ida at the age of eighteen.
I witness whereof I hereuts set my hand and seal and publish and deliver this my last will and Testament in the presence of the Witnesses named below. this 10th day of August in the year of our Lord, One Thousand eight hundred and sixty nine.

The above instrument consisting of one sheet was now here subscribed by Jerusha Green the Testator in the presence of each of us, and was at the same time declared by her to be her las will and Testament and Meat her request sign our names herto as atesting witnesses

Pike county,}SS In the County Court, Mar Term A.D. 1873
I DO SOLEMNLY SWEAR, that this writing contains the true last will and testament of the within named Jerusha Greene deceased, so far as I know or believe, and that I will well and truly execute the same by paying first the debts and then the legacies mentioned therein, so far as her goods and chattels will thereunto extend, and the law charge me; and that I will make a true and perfect inventory of all such goods and chattels, rights and credits, as may come to my hands or knowledge, belonging to the estate of said deceased, and render a fair and just account of my executorship, when thereunto required by law, to the best of my knowledge and abilities, so help me God.
