When we went on our first "Family History Tour" circa 2012, I went to the Charles A. Weyerhaeuser/Morrison County Historical Society and was given this clipping about my great grandfather, Lewis [Golson]Triplett. This article reads as:
NEW EPISCOPAL CHURCHThe Contract for Its Construction Let to Lewis Triplett of This City
Monday Aug.3 1903
The contract for the erection of the New Episcopal church on the corner of Fourth street and First avenue northeast was on Saturday let to Lewis Triplett at $6,500. This building will be 90X50 feet in size and architecturally will be one of the handsomest buildings in the city. The lower part of it will be constructed of boulders and the upper part of grout and plastered. This can be colored any desired tint. The work will commence immediately and the building rushed to completion.
This is a picture of the church from our Family History Tour 2012 edition. I called to ask if I can take pictures of the interior but no one ever answered the phone. Will try again. This is a picture of the Charles A. Weyerhaeuser Memorial Museum which also houses the Morrison County Historical Society.
