Jones Family - James Jones Pension - page 28



doubted that the said James Jones had been after in the militia service of the United States during
the years of the War -

                That the neigh-borhood of his residence was for years in constant agitation & alarm from Indian incursions & Tory
depredations during the two or three past years of the War - In the year of Burgoyn surrender, the militia was in a state of Constant alarm & were out more or less pretty much that whole season - & they also went has no doubt.but the said Jones was among the Militia so called out.
